Throughout all these years, many generations of students and teachers in the “Zmajeva” school have shared their knowledge, success, and creativity as the greatest value, keeping up with the innovative methods and raising their teaching and studying to a higher level. Thanks to the engagement in several international programs and participation in projects valued by national and international educational institutions, the school was promoted as a “21st-century school”, where the modernization of teaching and providing education to current and future students is carried out following European trends. For the overall quality of work, the school was rated the highest in external evaluation, and 2018 awarded the highest prize by the Province of Vojvodina, “Djordje Natosević”. Since half of 2019, they started preparation to the direct ARISS contact.

They are as busy as bees! … or shall we say as the ISS crew?

Their friends from the radio amateur club YU7BPQ help them with the radio contact! They made a big antenna! Furthermore, students and teachers are learning how to use an amateur radio station. Well done!

Preparations to the ARISS contact started abuot half years before the date of the week of the event.

This Radio Club has a long history, dating back to 1925 when the first club was formed. At one point , there were even 7 clubs in the city of Novi Sad but the YU7BPQ had always been the centerpiece.

You can follow their preparations and activities on the project blog page.
